  1. So many great shorts in this period, most of which I haven’t seen (I’m embarrassed to say). I agree with your assessment of One Week, which is one of my faves, as is Cops.
Keaton is an absolute delight to watch, isn’t he? You never know what’s coming next, and those surprises are as exciting to watch as his athleticism.
Thanks for this list of Keaton shorts!

  2. im gonna have to agree with you too, my friend: One Week would also be number 1 on my top list …it’s beautifull madness, and it was my gateway into the world of Keaton… but unlike you, I think I’d put The Balloonatic in the last spot haha. I found it to have some of his flattest characters, the ones you feel the least empathy for… greetings, and great post for the Blogathon! I loved the theme you chose… thanks for ur comment in my blog 🙌

    1. I think I mainly love The Balloonatic’s outdoor gags especially when Buster cuts out a holes in his canoe but definitely see it’s thinner character motivations.

And thanks for participating! I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Lois Weber. There is a certain art to the one-reeler that’s really hard to pull off and The Rosary definitely nails the landing.

  3. As I wrote before, I love One Week! It definetely doesn’t seen a newcomer’s work and every new watch renews old laughs and shows us a different stroke of a genius.
    Thanks for hosting this blogathon!
